LittleBites ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your family's privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

What We Collect

When you use LittleBites, we collect:

• Child profile information you enter, including name, date of birth, feeding stage, and known allergens
• Meal and nutrition data you log, including food names, portions, and meal photos you choose to upload
• Subscription status, managed through Apple's App Store and our payment processor, RevenueCat
• Basic usage data to help us improve the app and fix bugs

How We Use Third-Party Services

To power LittleBites' AI features (photo meal recognition, food search, and meal idea suggestions), meal photos and text descriptions you submit are sent securely to Anthropic's Claude AI service for analysis. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. We do not sell this data to any third party.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions; they receive your purchase information necessary to validate your subscription status, but do not receive your child's health or nutrition data.

What We Don't Do

We do not sell your family's data. We do not show ads. We do not share your child's health information with advertisers or data brokers.

Data Storage

Your child's profile, meal logs, and food introduction history are stored locally on your device. Photos you upload for AI analysis are processed and not retained by our servers after analysis is complete.

Technical Logging

Our servers automatically log basic technical information for every request, including IP address, request type, and timestamp. This information is used only for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting, and is never linked to your child's profile or nutrition data.

Your Choices

You can delete any child's data at any time within the app, or delete the app entirely to remove all locally stored data from your device.

Children's Privacy

LittleBites is designed for use by parents and caregivers to track their child's nutrition — it is not intended for direct use by children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.

LittleBites provides general nutritional guidance based on AAP/IOM age-based guidelines. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult your child's pediatrician regarding their specific nutritional needs, allergies, or health concerns.
